Spectators: 3802 (Terracing: 3401, Seating: 401, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Douglas Carr started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Hollisdale booed when Grantow was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Art Couzens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hollisdale's Bradshaw Jeffress played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quincy Flesfadar in the 8th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Grantow's Rudy Goring got a free kick in the 11th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Grantow's zone, Bleyd Lawson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sabastian Meyers came out of the goal and Bleyd Lawson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 20 minutes into the match, Hollisdale's Douglas Carr sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sabastian Meyers narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hollisdale's Bradshaw Jeffress played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kirk Conlin in the 22nd minute of play. Bradshaw Jeffress showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Quincy Flesfadar in the 26th minute of the match. Bradshaw Jeffress took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kirk Conlin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Douglas Carr who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Sabastian Meyers when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 37 minutes into the match, Grantow's goalkeeper Sabastian Meyers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tony Carragher. With 43 minutes on the clock, Bleyd Lawson commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 43rd minute, Bleyd Lawson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bradshaw Jeffress took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quincy Flesfadar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Arthur Simpson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Bradshaw Jeffress made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bryan Fallen in the 52nd minute. Bradshaw Jeffress made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bryan Fallen in the 53rd minute of play. Bradshaw Jeffress showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kirk Conlin in the 55th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kirk Conlin in the 57th minute of play forced Hollisdale's goalkeeper Bradshaw Jeffress to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute, Duke Triplett ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sabastian Meyers was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 66th minute, Art Couzens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tony Carragher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Sabastian Meyers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tony Carragher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bradshaw Jeffress was out of position in the 78 minute of play, and Bryan Fallen capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bryan Fallen really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. In the 85th minute Kirk Conlin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bradshaw Jeffress saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damian Whittington's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Bradshaw Jeffress firmly grabbed it by the left post. 87 minutes into the match, Hollisdale's Tony Carragher sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sabastian Meyers narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Duke Triplett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Hollisdale supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Grantow's performance. The match ended with a win for Grantow.
