The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Alfred Owens put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Billy Ritter. Billy Ritter made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfred Owens in the 90th minute. When Antony Virgin, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 92 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Billy Ritter was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Boys left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Kiata.
