Roger Weeks was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 16 minutes into the match, Hackham's goalkeeper Abe Andrusiow had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Randolph Pfingst. In the 25th minute Cliff Sobczak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abe Andrusiow saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute, Lawrence Bowie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute Justin Kirkham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Weeks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Handley Boylin made a kick off. After some careless play in the Hackham defense, Handley Boylin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abe Andrusiow. The Hackham fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abe Andrusiow should have stopped the shot. Edgar Calver kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. When Randolph Pfingst came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the EVATT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Randolph Pfingst couldn't finish the play. If Randolph Pfingst had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lawrance Tinsley hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. With a little luck, EVATT's Roger Weeks got control of the ball when Rudolph Flisfeder tried to sneak it across the goal line. Randolph Pfingst received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Abe Andrusiow tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roger Weeks showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justin Kirkham, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 74th minute, Rudolph Flisfeder got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Randolph Pfingst had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cliff Sobczak's late challenge caught a Hackham's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cliff Sobczak helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, EVATT's Cliff Sobczak got a free kick in the 88th minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
