Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Badgen's Eddy Holdsworth started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Badgen's Mack Fitton got a free kick in the 4th minute. After 5 played minutes, Carani's Carl Sylvester shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Laurence Grigson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Carani reached it. Brock Conlan scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Laurence Grigson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Laurence Grigson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brock Conlan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arthur Egel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrews Mcvey having to interfere. Andrews Mcvey was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eddy Holdsworth showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 21 minute of play. After 32 minutes of play, Carani's Peter Ramsay made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Laurence Grigson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Peter Ramsay stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rdth minute of the game Eddy Holdsworth who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carani's Andrews Mcvey was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Brock Conlan was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 57th minute. Carani's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Andrews Mcvey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arthur Egel in the 59th minute of the match. After 60 played minutes Badgen got a freekick which was hit by Case Waller. Arthur Egel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute, Badgen's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Brock Conlan fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 68th match minute, Carani was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sam Norman to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute, Remington Adair sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Carani's Andrews Mcvey didn't even have to move. Arthur Egel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arthur Egel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Andrews Mcvey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Although Badgen had been in control for most of the match, Carani still came away with the win.
