Landervale's Brown Soekirno got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Brown Soekirno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Max Unicomb didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Brett Wright went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Cancun's Birrell Rishton got a free kick in the 20th minute. When Brett Wright came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Landervale fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brett Wright couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brett Wright in the 28th minute of play forced Cancun's goalkeeper Max Unicomb to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute, Ian Haeberle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Cancun defense, Doyle Jeavons kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Max Unicomb. The Cancun fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Max Unicomb should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sam Quinnell in the 37th minute of play forced Cancun's goalkeeper Max Unicomb to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Max Unicomb showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brown Soekirno in the 40th minute of the match. The supporters of Landervale booed when Cancun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boris Morey didn't get a good kick on the ball. Richard Connolly showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bock Malacarne, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Boyd Andrusiow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Brett Wright made a kick off. Landervale's Brett Wright got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Max Unicomb stood somewhat misplaced when Brett Wright came free in front of goal and shot 0-4 to the left of him in the 55 minute. 60 minutes into the game, Brett Wright recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Max Unicomb. Brett Wright showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. In the 70th minute Brett Wright shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Max Unicomb saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brett Wright in the 72nd minute of play forced Cancun's goalkeeper Max Unicomb to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 73 minutes into the game, Benedict Millgate was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Landervale's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cancun the free kick. Brown Soekirno had several of the Cancun's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 76 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-6 score and a disappointed Max Unicomb as he didn't even see the shot coming. With a little luck, Cancun's Max Unicomb got control of the ball when Brown Soekirno tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 80th minute, Sam Quinnell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brown Soekirno in the 83rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Max Unicomb, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 86th minute Brett Wright shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Max Unicomb saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 87 minutes into the game, Birrell Rishton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brendan Wittber made a great header on Landervale's corner, it was just that Cancun's Max Unicomb managed to reach the ball for a save. 97 minutes into the match, Landervale's goal looked a bit too open when Lauder Marsland came free, but Richard Connolly reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
