Spectators: 7123 (Terracing: 6023, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tom Death started the match with the kick off. After 3 played minutes The Lebo Tigers got a freekick which was hit by Fleming Diefenbach. 4 minutes into the match, Atherton's Eden Cubitt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jasmine Soekirno narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 5th minute, Bath Hinder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 6th minute, Gregg Jeavons got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 8th minute Eden Cubitt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jasmine Soekirno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gregg Jeavons recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eden Cubitt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jasmine Soekirno having to interfere. The supporters of Atherton booed when The Lebo Tigers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeremy Peach didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th match minute, The Lebo Tigers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bath Hinder to maneuver through the defense. If Tom Death had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gregg Jeavons fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jasmine Soekirno having to interfere. In the 23rd match minute, The Lebo Tigers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abbott Collings to maneuver through the defense. Jasmine Soekirno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eden Cubitt, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 34 minutes into the match, The Lebo Tigers's goal looked a bit too open when Gregg Jeavons came free, but Jasmine Soekirno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to The Lebo Tigers getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Bath Hinder hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Atherton's zone, Raymond Paddle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luke Veitch came out of the goal and Raymond Paddle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Atherton's Luke Veitch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tom Death in the 41st minute of play. 44 minutes into the game, Atherton's Gregg Jeavons nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jasmine Soekirno made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After having played for 47 minutes, Eden Cubitt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atherton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eden Cubitt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Gregg Jeavons made the kick off in the second half. The Lebo Tigers's Jasmine Soekirno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gregg Jeavons in the 53rd minute of play. Eden Cubitt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Eden Cubitt came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Atherton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eden Cubitt couldn't finish the play. Gregg Jeavons could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Jasmine Soekirno made a huge save. Tom Death struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Luke Veitch didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Lebo Tigers. Gregg Jeavons sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Lebo Tigers's Jasmine Soekirno proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save The Lebo Tigers from getting a goal against them. Eden Cubitt took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jasmine Soekirno. Jasmine Soekirno dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2.
