The referee ignored Bindi FC's protests and gave Kelvin Fulton a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd match minute, Bindi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kelvin Fulton to maneuver through the defense. After 12 minutes, Darley Warhurst mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bindi FC and the AI FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Bindi FC's Darley Warhurst got a free kick in the 12th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Bindi FC's Matthew Mcenally tried to score from far away in the 22nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 31 minutes, Bill Morse mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bindi FC and the AI FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 31st match minute, Bindi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bill Morse to maneuver through the defense. Bindi FC were awarded a corner in the 50th minute after AI FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Matthew Mcenally took the corner. Russ Houldsworth was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Darley Warhurst to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Darley Warhurst's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Brynn Mackney was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Robert Stockwin charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Munroe Balaam might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dale Turner. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Munroe Balaam ran back to his position shaking his head. Darley Warhurst scored 1-0 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Brynn Mackney, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Kelvin Fulton was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 70 minutes had been played. In the 71st minute, Kelvin Fulton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was a well-played corner which Larry Stageman managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After 77 minutes, Bleyd Rowdon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AI FC and the Bindi FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 77th match minute, AI FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bleyd Rowdon to maneuver through the defense. Darrell Gruer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dale Turner having to interfere. Brynn Mackney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brookes Barugh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Brookes Barugh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bindi FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Brookes Barugh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brynn Mackney breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Darley Warhurst received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Brynn Mackney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 101 minutes into the game, Bindi FC's Darley Warhurst nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Brynn Mackney made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Bindi FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
