Halifax's Larry Coleman got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Glagow Celtic getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Murphy Barling hit a great ball. Henry Turnor, 35 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Eddie Boserio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Larry Playford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andrew Leach's late challenge caught a Halifax's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andrew Leach helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Glagow Celtic getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eddy Bielski during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The Glagow Celtic fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. When Duffield Gannan fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Halifax's protests and gave Duffield Gannan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 78th match minute, Halifax was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duffield Gannan to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Halifax's Broderick Bridson threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mitchell Leach, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 94 minutes into the match, Andrew Leach had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Larry Playford. Halifax's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andrew Leach was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3.
