After 40 minutes Cheviot's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Brook Paynter who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Green Sheep's Brendon Slattery getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Green Sheep's Donovan Batterham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bradley Fazey in the 47th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kent Rheistein to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Green Sheep's Jessop Boylin got a free kick in the 51st minute. After recieving a nice pass, Cheviot's Bradley Fazey tried to score from far away in the 52nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Bradley Fazey came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Cheviot fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bradley Fazey couldn't finish the play. Donovan Batterham made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Bradley Fazey sent off a good shot on target. 72 minutes into the match, Cheviot's goal looked a bit too open when Kent Rheistein came free, but Davey Deal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute Dario Belford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Davey Deal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
