The Hunter Valley FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arne Reiter should have stopped the shot. When Ozzie Block came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Hunter Valley FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ozzie Block couldn't finish the play. After 28 minutes of play, Hunter Valley FC's Ozzie Block made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Boris Wang was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kevin Carragher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Jimmy Pizza booed when Hunter Valley FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Corder Aylwin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Irving Landers short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Arne Reiter to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Cullen Millgate had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cullen Millgate fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boris Wang having to interfere. If Cullen Millgate had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cullen Millgate was the one to do the kick off. Boris Wang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cullen Millgate in the 65th minute of play. Boris Wang stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cullen Millgate's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Cullen Millgate sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Kevin Carragher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Irving Lander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Arne Reiter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Boris Wang made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ozzie Block in the 84th minute. A collision led to Hunter Valley FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Corder Aylwin hit a great ball. Irving Lander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arne Reiter having to interfere. Jimmy Pizza's Kevin Carragher got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hunter Valley FC's Arne Reiter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Irving Lander in the 97th minute of play. The Hunter Valley FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Jimmy Pizza from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
