After the first half Wietalaba were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rudy Limmer made a kick off. Alberto Dollymore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rudy Limmer in the 54th minute of play. Alberto Dollymore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rudy Limmer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpected shot in the 57th minute by Bernard Babbage got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 60 minutes of play, Wietalaba's Bernard Babbage made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alberto Dollymore was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 64th minute, Dan Babbage hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alberto Dollymore made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernard Babbage in the 65th minute. After 69 minutes Lucyvale's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rudy Limmer who took care of the corner kick. 71 minutes into the game, Rudy Limmer lined in a short shot 0-3 behind a frustrated Alberto Dollymore. Rudy Limmer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alberto Dollymore read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play.
