Matthew Loch didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Achmids Soul. In the 5th minute Brooker Lander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matthew Loch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abbott Mudie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elliot Hodge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adolph Baptiste kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Quade Wood scored 1-0 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Matthew Loch, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rich Beins kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. When Achmids Soul's Brooker Lander in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tawonga's goalie prevented a goal. Quade Wood sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Brooker Lander managed to get in a good position for a shot. Achmids Soul's supporters rose to their feet, but Brooker Lander was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matthew Loch breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elliot Hodge made a kick off. Abbott Mudie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elliot Hodge in the 54th minute of play. Barnard Howard hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Abbott Mudie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jervis Waller in the 57th minute. The audience was convinced that Elliot Hodge's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abbott Mudie was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Brooker Lander in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Matthew Loch prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Brooker Lander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Quade Wood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rich Beins hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Brooker Lander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Matthew Loch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Brooker Lander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abbott Mudie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elliot Hodge in the 97th minute of play. Achmids Soul walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
