Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Mitchell Eversden made the kick off and thus started the match. 4 minutes into the match, Oberne's goal looked a bit too open when Jervis Waller came free, but Jarvis Oreilly reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jarvis Oreilly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jervis Waller in the 8th minute of play. A collision led to Tawonga getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Matt Cridland hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 11 minutes, Matthew Loch successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Jarvis Oreilly took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rich Beins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute, Elliot Hodge ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jarvis Oreilly was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Jarvis Oreilly showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jervis Waller, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Matthew Loch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mitchell Eversden in the 24th minute of play. Matthew Loch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hale Fitton in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Rich Beins made a precise shot to the right of Jarvis Oreilly. Oberne's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. In the 31st minute of the match, Rolando Riley got a very nice opportunity to score, but Matthew Loch was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Mitchell Eversden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Matthew Loch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mitchell Eversden recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Elliot Hodge's late challenge caught a Oberne's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elliot Hodge helped the player get up and apologised. Norman Cudmore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthew Loch having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elliot Hodge made a kick off. Rolando Riley struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Matthew Loch didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oberne. Matthew Loch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mitchell Eversden in the 57th minute of play. Oberne's Jagger Hunn managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Murphy Beckwith in the 58 minute of the game. Oberne's Hale Fitton was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Matthew Loch in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Elliot Hodge hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Mitchell Eversden managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oberne's supporters rose to their feet, but Mitchell Eversden was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matthew Loch breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rolando Riley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matthew Loch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolando Riley in the 69th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hale Fitton in the 71st minute of play forced Tawonga's goalkeeper Matthew Loch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oberne's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Elliot Hodge 74 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-3. Matthew Loch came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Oberne's Hale Fitton. But to his dismay, Hale Fitton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Tawonga's Matthew Loch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mitchell Eversden in the 80th minute of play. Matt Cridland kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Elliot Hodge hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Oberne were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
