Alberto Dollymore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bishop Tevelien, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. When Edwin Miels fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lucyvale's protests and gave Edwin Miels a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Liverpool FC booed when Lucyvale was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edwin Miels didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gregory Locke kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Bishop Tevelien received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Alberto Dollymore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Lucyvale's Gregory Locke slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Stew Whitsitt. That made the score 1-0 after 17 minutes of play. If Andre Tarrant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute, Andre Tarrant ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alberto Dollymore was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 33rd minute, Bishop Tevelien made a precise shot to the right of Alberto Dollymore. Lucyvale's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The audience was convinced that Bishop Tevelien's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alberto Dollymore was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. 39 minutes into the match, Liverpool FC's Bishop Tevelien sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alberto Dollymore narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bishop Tevelien to make the kick off. Gregory Locke kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Bishop Tevelien could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Alberto Dollymore made a huge save. After having played for 85 minutes, Andre Tarrant managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Liverpool FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andre Tarrant was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Bishop Tevelien had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andre Tarrant fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Dollymore having to interfere. Gregory Locke's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stew Whitsitt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. When the match was over Liverpool FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Lucyvale throughout the match.
