The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, MXW UNITED's Belton Clist got a free kick in the 11th minute. When Brockman Stevenson came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Dunedoo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brockman Stevenson couldn't finish the play. In the 13th minute, Edison Waters ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Groves was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Dunedoo FC's Bernard Babbage got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Andres Palmington stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rudy Limmer's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. In the 22nd minute of the match Humphrey Wadley shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Groves showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 33rd minute Bernard Babbage shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andres Palmington saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andres Palmington was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half Dunedoo FC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Edison Waters made the kick off in the second half. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andres Palmington prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bernard Babbage fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andres Palmington having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Bernard Babbage got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dunedoo FC's Rudy Limmer got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 72 minutes into the match, Dunedoo FC's Rudy Limmer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andres Palmington narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 75 minutes into the match, Carsyn Blackham dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Andres Palmington, 1-5. After having played for 78 minutes, Rudy Limmer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dunedoo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rudy Limmer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Bernard Babbage put it in 1-6 from a short distance just to the right of Andres Palmington. After a defensive mix-up in MXW UNITED's zone, Bernard Babbage stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andres Palmington came out of the goal and Bernard Babbage tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bernard Babbage might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andres Palmington. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernard Babbage ran back to his position shaking his head. When Dunedoo FC's Rudy Limmer, in the 91st minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Dunedoo FC. Bernard Babbage sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernard Babbages short, quick shot in the 97thth minute got Andres Palmington to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the final whistle sounded Dunedoo FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than MXW UNITED.
