After a defensive mix-up in Quagitup's zone, Aden Fortington stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ben Minton came out of the goal and Aden Fortington tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jarvis Mills charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jarvis Mills the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Gunyah booed when Quagitup was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jarvis Mills didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ben Minton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Hemsley in the 12th minute of the match. If Aden Fortington had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute Aden Fortington shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ben Minton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arty Heathwood during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Quagitup getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Arty Heathwood hit a great ball. In the 35th minute, Jarvis Mills hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute Aden Fortington shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ben Minton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arty Heathwood hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Hemsley in the 40th minute of play forced Quagitup's goalkeeper Ben Minton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Quagitup getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Jarvis Mills hit a great ball. Allen Blestowe was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 42nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ben Minton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bruno Hemsley's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Quagitup fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 47th minute. Penalty! Allen Blestowe walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post.

An unexpected shot in the 54th minute by Aden Fortington got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Matthias Cookesley fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quagitup's protests and gave Matthias Cookesley a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Quagitup getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Matthias Cookesley hit a great ball. In the 56th minute, Aden Fortington got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Quagitup's Matthias Cookesley suffered a concussion after 59 minutes and had to leave the field. 59 minutes into the game, Bartholemew Unicomb was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gunyah's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quagitup the free kick. A collision led to Gunyah getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Bartholemew Unicomb hit a great ball. After having played for 64 minutes, Aden Fortington managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gunyah's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aden Fortington was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 66th minute, Gunyah's Aden Fortington ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ben Minton. Ben Minton yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. If Richard Mosley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ben Minton came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Gunyah's Aden Fortington. But to his dismay, Aden Fortington quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Ben Minton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aden Fortington in the 81st minute. A collision led to Quagitup getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Bern Meyers hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Quagitup's zone, Bruno Hemsley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ben Minton came out of the goal and Bruno Hemsley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aden Fortington might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ben Minton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aden Fortington ran back to his position shaking his head. Bruno Hemsley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ben Minton having to interfere. In the 91stth minute of the game Bruno Hemsley who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Quagitup's Ben Minton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 92 minutes into the match, Gunyah's Bruno Hemsley sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ben Minton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Hemsley in the 96th minute of play forced Quagitup's goalkeeper Ben Minton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bruno Hemsley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Gunyah left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Quagitup.
