Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bartholemew Goodward started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Welford's Loyd Plummer seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Loyd Plummer the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Welford protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Loyd Plummer had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 3 minutes into the game, one of Welford:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When Biggs Peterson came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the AFC Sutherland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Biggs Peterson couldn't finish the play. Charles Mcgrath didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Welford's Damian Johnson shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Biggs Peterson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Aron Hopkins made a huge save. Aron Hopkins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Neale Quinnell in the 19th minute of the match. When Biggs Peterson came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the AFC Sutherland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Biggs Peterson couldn't finish the play. Biggs Peterson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aron Hopkins having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 27th minute by Biggs Peterson got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Aron Hopkins made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Hank Mcgaw sent off a good shot on target. After 36 minutes, Damian Johnson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Welford and the AFC Sutherland players grew even worse after the yellow card. Neale Quinnell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aron Hopkins having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, AFC Sutherland's Biggs Peterson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aron Hopkins narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Biggs Peterson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Aron Hopkins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Biggs Peterson struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Aron Hopkins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AFC Sutherland. Neale Quinnell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

If Biggs Peterson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Neale Quinnell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Biggs Peterson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Aron Hopkins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aron Hopkins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Biggs Peterson in the 66th minute of play. Kane Wayland's late challenge caught a AFC Sutherland's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kane Wayland helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Welford's Kane Wayland got a free kick in the 69th minute. Dwight Mueller took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Aron Hopkins. Welford's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Neale Quinnell in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aron Hopkins prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dwight Mueller was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 78th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Aron Hopkins came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by AFC Sutherland's Biggs Peterson. But to his dismay, Biggs Peterson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. AFC Sutherland's Biggs Peterson got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Welford getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Kane Wayland hit a great ball. Biggs Peterson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aron Hopkins having to interfere.
