An unexpectedly hard shot by Keefe Reichelt in the 19th minute of play forced North Geelong Warriors's goalkeeper Quade Glover to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Arsenal Academy fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 20th minute. Penalty! After a rather tough play, Arsenal Academy's Duke Tebby got a free kick in the 25th minute. Clifford Jackson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Randall Freel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th match minute, Arsenal Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Keefe Reichelt to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute, Herman Freeman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Randall Freel was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Quade Glover made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Keefe Reichelt in the 36th minute of play. Clifford Jackson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Randall Freel having to interfere. In the 41st minute Clifford Jackson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Randall Freel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Clifford Jackson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Randall Freel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 46 played minutes North Geelong Warriors got a freekick which was hit by Irrintzi Toribia. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nichol Notley to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Herman Freeman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Randall Freel was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Jordon Adair recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Brook Legg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Randall Freel having to interfere. North Geelong Warriors's Herman Freeman managed to work through Arsenal Academy's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Herman Freeman dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. The audience was convinced that Herman Freeman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Randall Freel was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. In the 64th minute of the match North Geelong Warriors got a corner. Arsenal Academy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Clifford Jackson ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Herman Freeman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Irrintzi Toribia charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Irrintzi Toribia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 87th match minute, North Geelong Warriors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Irrintzi Toribia to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute, Irrintzi Toribia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Randall Freel was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. 6-0 became the score in the 97th minute when Herman Freeman elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.
