Michael Jeffress showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darryl Brotherton, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. With an all-out effort, Red Cliffs Devils's Angus Mcjunkins threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jagger Goldsmith, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ermington FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jagger Goldsmith 23 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. Bock Clack blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Angus Mcjunkins having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Jagger Goldsmith managed to get in a good position for a shot. Red Cliffs Devils's supporters rose to their feet, but Jagger Goldsmith was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angus Mcjunkins breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Michael Jeffress tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gregg Willis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Michael Jeffress made a huge save.
