Spectators: 8492 (Terracing: 6370, Seating: 1953, VIP seats: 169) Porter Simpson started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Nilson Pegrum stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Porter Simpson's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. Crimson Eagles FC's Porter Simpson got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Crimson Eagles FC's Kevin Conlin got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 8 minutes, Porter Simpson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Crimson Eagles FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Porter Simpson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nilson Pegrum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin Conlin, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Porter Simpson in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nilson Pegrum prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kevin Conlin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 16th match minute, Hedges was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dugald Tongs to maneuver through the defense. Porter Simpson succeeded in the game's 18th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Porter Simpson in the 22ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nilson Pegrum, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Porter Simpson sped through Hedges's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nilson Pegrum. In the 29th minute, Rod Facey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cornelius Curtis hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Porter Simpson took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nilson Pegrum. Nilson Pegrum dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. After having played for 38 minutes, Jones Addison managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Crimson Eagles FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jones Addison was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41st minute Dane Cowdell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lawrance Shorten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hedges's Nilson Pegrum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Porter Simpson in the 44th minute of play.

The wind increased when Dane Cowdell made the kick off in the second half. Lawrance Shorten came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Hedges's Bjorn Morse. But to his dismay, Bjorn Morse quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Porter Simpson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Crimson Eagles FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Porter Simpson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nilson Pegrum breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Kevin Conlin came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Crimson Eagles FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kevin Conlin couldn't finish the play. When Edward Price fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hedges's protests and gave Edward Price a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Hedges getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Edward Price hit a great ball. Bjorn Morse recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rod Facey hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 80th minute, Jones Addison got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 84 minutes of play, Crimson Eagles FC's Porter Simpson made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nilson Pegrum was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nilson Pegrum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Porter Simpson in the 90th minute of play. Kevin Conlin struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Nilson Pegrum didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Crimson Eagles FC. The audience was convinced that Porter Simpson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nilson Pegrum was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Porter Simpson in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nilson Pegrum saved Hedges from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Porter Simpson in the 95th minute of play forced Hedges's goalkeeper Nilson Pegrum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Crimson Eagles FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
