Spectators: 7399 (Terracing: 5800, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 99) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when David Odd took the kick off in the first half of the match. Angus Mcjunkins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bock Clack in the 3rd minute of play. Peter Giles took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Angus Mcjunkins. Angus Mcjunkins dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. David Odd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Jeffress having to interfere. Michael Jeffress made an important save on a dangerous shot by David Odd in the 21st minute. In the 25th minute Jagger Goldsmith shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angus Mcjunkins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jagger Goldsmith received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Angus Mcjunkins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jagger Goldsmith in the 37th minute of play forced Ermington FC's goalkeeper Angus Mcjunkins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Michael Jeffress made an important save on a dangerous shot by David Odd in the 39th minute. Angus Mcjunkins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from George Peterson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute of the match, David Odd got a very nice opportunity to score, but Michael Jeffress was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ben Mills during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 45th match minute, Ermington FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ben Mills to maneuver through the defense. Peter Giles kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Red Cliffs Devils's goalkeeper Michael Jeffress, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jagger Goldsmith to strike the kick off in the second half. Ermington FC were furious when Barnett Rann was red carded, 52 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 52nd match minute, Ermington FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barnett Rann to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Ermington FC's Angus Mcjunkins got control of the ball when Alvin Eicke tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 56th minute, Bock Clack ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Angus Mcjunkins was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After a rather tough play, Ermington FC's Drew Mapps got a free kick in the 63rd minute. When Corbett Paynter came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Ermington FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Corbett Paynter couldn't finish the play. Angus Mcjunkins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jagger Goldsmith, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Peter Giles got free with Angus Mcjunkins in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jagger Goldsmith received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Angus Mcjunkins came out and tried to block the shot, but Jagger Goldsmith slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 95th minute. The Ermington FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Red Cliffs Devils's performance. The match ended with a win for Red Cliffs Devils.
