Red Cliffs Devils's Jagger Goldsmith got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee ignored Red Cliffs Devils's protests and gave Bock Clack a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Crimson Eagles FC booed when Red Cliffs Devils was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jagger Goldsmith didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd minute Bock Clack shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lawrance Shorten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Porter Simpson in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Michael Jeffress saved Red Cliffs Devils from getting behind. After 97th play minutes Porter Simpson shot 2-3, a short shot which went by Michael Jeffress and just under the crossbar into goal. The Crimson Eagles FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
