In the 14th minute, Casper Carlisle made a precise shot to the right of Lawrance Shorten. Crimson Eagles FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Casper Carlisle took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lawrance Shorten. Lawrance Shorten dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Lawrance Shorten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bern Beverley in the 20th minute of the match. Jones Addison who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Bert Diehl when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Crimson Eagles FC's zone, Casper Carlisle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lawrance Shorten came out of the goal and Casper Carlisle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 27 minutes into the match, Crimson Eagles FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bern Beverley came free, but Lawrance Shorten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 30 minutes into the game, Porter Simpson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Bert Diehl was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kevin Conlin during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kevin Conlin hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Crimson Eagles FC's goalkeeper Lawrance Shorten, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Casper Carlisle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lawrance Shorten having to interfere. Bern Beverley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lawrance Shorten having to interfere. The Crimson Eagles FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Witchcliffe FC were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bern Beverley to make the kick off. Casper Carlisle came free with the goalkeeper in the 53rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lawrance Shorten could save by the left post. Bern Beverley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Lawrance Shorten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Porter Simpson hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. If Bern Beverley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes into the game, Tony Benton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Witchcliffe FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Crimson Eagles FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Witchcliffe FC's Tony Benton got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 66th minute of the match Kevin Conlin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bert Diehl showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Witchcliffe FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Hans Gavin hit a great ball. If Porter Simpson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Casper Carlisle got free with Lawrance Shorten in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The corner led Witchcliffe FC's Bern Beverley to fire away a dangerous shot which Lawrance Shorten despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 77th minute, Porter Simpson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bern Beverley succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 79th playminute. Crimson Eagles FC's Lawrance Shorten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bern Beverley in the 82nd minute of play. Lawrance Shorten was out of position in the 84 minute of play, and Bern Beverley capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bern Beverley really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. Bert Diehl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Porter Simpson, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The Crimson Eagles FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Witchcliffe FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
