Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cirilo Ciceron kicked off to start the match. Edison Rosenboom charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edison Rosenboom the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Ridgley getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Abe Burtt hit a great ball. 6 minutes into the match, Ridgley's goal looked a bit too open when Kleanthis Nestoridis came free, but Martin Legg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martin Legg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kleanthis Nestoridis in the 8th minute of the match. After 12 minutes of play, Mellis's Erivaldo Linhares made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Martin Legg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Martin Legg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Allen Claringbold, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Earnest Algoud could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Dan Richard made a huge save. Mellis's Dan Richard proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Mellis from getting a goal against them. In the 19th minute, Kleanthis Nestoridis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mellis fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 24 minutes into the game, Abe Burtt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Dan Richard was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 27 minutes into the game, Cirilo Ciceron cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Martin Legg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 31 minutes into the match, Mellis's goal looked a bit too open when Matthias Renny came free, but Dan Richard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rdth minute of the game Kleanthis Nestoridis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ridgley's Martin Legg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ridgley's Martin Legg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kleanthis Nestoridis in the 36th minute of play. Kleanthis Nestoridis might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Martin Legg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kleanthis Nestoridis ran back to his position shaking his head. 43 minutes into the match, Ridgley's goal looked a bit too open when Cirilo Ciceron came free, but Martin Legg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 47 minutes into the game, Kleanthis Nestoridis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Martin Legg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half Mellis were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jacob Connolly to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Cirilo Ciceron ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Martin Legg was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Allen Claringbold hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Jacob Connolly recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 66 played minutes Ridgley got a freekick which was hit by Earnest Algoud. After a defensive mix-up in Ridgley's zone, Erivaldo Linhares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Legg came out of the goal and Erivaldo Linhares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Ridgley getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Browne Shearn hit a great ball. After 75 played minutes, Mellis's Allen Claringbold shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Martin Legg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mellis reached it. Cirilo Ciceron scored 1-6 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Martin Legg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cirilo Ciceron struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Martin Legg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mellis. After a rather tough play, Ridgley's Nathan Prior got a free kick in the 86th minute. Martin Legg was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Allen Claringbold. In the 88th match minute, Ridgley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Connor Rear to maneuver through the defense. Martin Legg didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Mellis's Cirilo Ciceron shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-7 in the ordered_time% minute. Kleanthis Nestoridis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erivaldo Linhares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Legg having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Mellis left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ridgley.
