Spectators: 8428 (Terracing: 6322, Seating: 1938, VIP seats: 168) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Payton Hamilton took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 4th play minutes Humphrey Wilde shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Irwin Stevens and just under the crossbar into goal. After having played for 9 minutes, Humphrey Wilde managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maitland's supporters crossed their fingers, but Humphrey Wilde was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 11th minute, Ryan Oshea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Inamotos's Irwin Stevens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humphrey Wilde in the 13th minute of play. After 13 played minutes Inamotos got a freekick which was hit by Ryan Oshea. If Humphrey Wilde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Inamotos's Irwin Stevens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Payton Hamilton in the 19th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Payton Hamilton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Irwin Stevens was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. When Eliot Foley fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Inamotos's protests and gave Eliot Foley a yellow card for diving instead. When Birrell Duncan fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maitland's protests and gave Birrell Duncan a yellow card for diving instead. Birrell Duncan hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Inamotos's zone, Arthur Kean stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Irwin Stevens came out of the goal and Arthur Kean tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Humphrey Wilde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Irwin Stevens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Payton Hamilton in the 41st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Maitland's Payton Hamilton got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eddy Willison was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Brookes Sibbold hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Irwin Stevens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humphrey Wilde, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Inamotos's goal looked a bit too open when Humphrey Wilde came free, but Irwin Stevens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Maitland's goal looked a bit too open when Eddy Willison came free, but Britton Oconnell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maitland's Humphrey Wilde was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 61st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Inamotos's zone, Humphrey Wilde stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Irwin Stevens came out of the goal and Humphrey Wilde tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ryan Oshea kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. 73 minutes in the game, Humphrey Wilde fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Irwin Stevens having to interfere. With a little luck, Inamotos's Irwin Stevens got control of the ball when Payton Hamilton tried to sneak it across the goal line. Payton Hamilton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Irwin Stevens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Maitland's Humphrey Wilde dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Payton Hamilton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maitland's supporters rose to their feet, but Payton Hamilton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Irwin Stevens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match was over Maitland could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Inamotos throughout the match.
