Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Tresco's Edison Deeth started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 played minutes Tawonga got a freekick which was hit by Abbott Sylvester. After 5 minutes, Wojciech Czeszejko mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tresco and the Tawonga players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Tresco getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Wojciech Czeszejko hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Tawonga's Russel Sibbold got a free kick in the 7th minute. Bradshaw Lander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Max Freeman having to interfere. After 11 minutes of play, Tawonga's Abbott Sylvester made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Max Freeman was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Edison Deeth fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tresco's protests and gave Edison Deeth a yellow card for diving instead. Abbott Sylvester kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the match, Tresco's goal looked a bit too open when Bradshaw Lander came free, but Max Freeman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the game, Bill Gissane was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tresco's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tawonga the free kick. After 22 played minutes Tresco got a freekick which was hit by Bill Gissane. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wojciech Czeszejko in the 26th minute of play forced Tawonga's goalkeeper Loud Awage to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edison Deeth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Loud Awage tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Wojciech Czeszejko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tresco's supporters rose to their feet, but Wojciech Czeszejko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Loud Awage breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Abbott Sylvester received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Max Freeman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Loud Awage made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wojciech Czeszejko in the 41st minute of play. Danny Bower fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Max Freeman having to interfere.
Max Freeman came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Tawonga's Art Copelin. But to his dismay, Art Copelin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edison Deeth in the 72nd minute of play forced Tawonga's goalkeeper Loud Awage to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th match minute, Tawonga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bradshaw Lander to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edison Deeth got free with Loud Awage in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 82 played minutes Tresco got a freekick which was hit by Cezary Rutkowski. Ralph Mccartan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Max Freeman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Max Freeman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bradshaw Lander in the 91st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edison Deeth got free with Loud Awage in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Edison Deeth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tresco's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
