Spectators: 8226 (Terracing: 6296, Seating: 1930, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Berkeley Loch kicked off to start the match. Iggi Wakefield made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Berkeley Loch sent off a good shot on target. Laugi were furious when Andre Lucas was red carded, 8 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 9 played minutes Laugi got a freekick which was hit by Andre Lucas. If Ernest Pegrum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alexander Baxter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Neil Rhoades in the 14th minute of the match. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexander Baxter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Laugi's Iggi Wakefield played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bradford Haskell in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute Neil Rhoades shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Baxter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, James Hodge notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Wodonga United's Alexander Baxter. Alexander Baxter was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and James Hodge made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Neil Rhoades got free with Alexander Baxter in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 57 minutes into the game, Wodonga United's Bradford Haskell nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iggi Wakefield made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Laugi's Iggi Wakefield played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bradford Haskell in the 61st minute of play. But to his dismay, Bradford Haskell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Barth Cootes charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After 73 played minutes Wodonga United got a freekick which was hit by Barth Cootes. 75 minutes into the match, Brad Colling had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iggi Wakefield. Laugi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Brad Colling was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Brad Colling received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Iggi Wakefield tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Berkeley Loch scored 5-1 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Iggi Wakefield, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Brad Colling fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iggi Wakefield having to interfere. Iggi Wakefield made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bradford Haskell in the 84th minute of play. After 88 minutes of play, Wodonga United's Brad Colling made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iggi Wakefield was left in no man's land by his defense there! Laugi's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
