Carmichael Schulze's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oswald Verhaeghen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. In the 46th minute Carmichael Schulze shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oswald Verhaeghen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carmichael Schulze was the one to do the kick off. In the 96th minute of the match, Carmichael Schulze tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Oswald Verhaeghen saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Brookton had played much better football throughout.
