Redlynch were furious when Larkin Bouer was red carded, 15 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The supporters of Cockatoo booed when Redlynch was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Larkin Bouer didn't get a good kick on the ball. 1-0 became the score in the 18th minute when Jesse Voller elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 20 minutes into the match, Redlynch's goalkeeper Tommy Pavkovic had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andres Kreck. Tommy Pavkovic took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bryant Batterham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Bradshaw Anders came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Redlynch fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bradshaw Anders couldn't finish the play. Andres Kreck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Tommy Pavkovic tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cliff Kiel kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Redlynch's Tommy Pavkovic proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Redlynch from getting a goal against them. If Andres Kreck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andres Kreck made a kick off. Tommy Pavkovic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiger Powderham in the 56th minute of the match. Tommy Pavkovic made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andres Kreck in the 63rd minute of play. If Andres Kreck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute, Otto Dalglish had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. During the 67th minute of the match Bradshaw Anders completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Bradshaw Anders a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Ned Willding hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. The audience held their breath when Jesse Voller in the 71st minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Tommy Pavkovic's left hand side. 74 minutes into the match, Cockatoo's Andres Kreck sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tommy Pavkovic narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andres Kreck in the 75th minute of play forced Redlynch's goalkeeper Tommy Pavkovic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
