Antonio Howie was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Clarke Ritter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Russ Macumber having to interfere. After 30 minutes of play, Toonumbar FC's Corey Wilde made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Antonio Howie was left in no man's land by his defense there! Steve Adamson's late challenge caught a Claytonboyz fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Steve Adamson helped the player get up and apologised. Steve Adamson hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Corey Wilde put it in 0-6 from a short distance just to the right of Antonio Howie. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

The wind increased when Clarke Ritter made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Clarke Ritter notched a goal, 1-6, to the right of Toonumbar FC's Russ Macumber. Russ Macumber was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Corey Wilde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 62 minutes, Corey Wilde made it 1-8 with a short kick to the right side. Claytonboyz fc's Antonio Howie tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Steve Adamson made in the 66th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Claytonboyz fc's Clay Sinden. Antonio Howie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Corey Wilde, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Claytonboyz fc's Antonio Howie proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Claytonboyz fc from getting a goal against them. When Paul Dowling came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Toonumbar FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paul Dowling couldn't finish the play. The Claytonboyz fc fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Toonumbar FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
