Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Hunterton's Bill Crane started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute, Norm Riley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th minute Bill Crane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Archie Trims saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th match minute, Nelligen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kris Hayman to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute, Norm Riley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 26th minute, Sam Maciver made a precise shot to the right of Brookes Beale. Hunterton's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Murphy Moon lost his temper 30 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 29 minutes into the game, one of Nelligen:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Hunterton a penalty, 31 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bill Crane, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Nelligen's Archie Trims. 2-2. Brookes Beale stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carver Saisell's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Dan Will took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Brookes Beale. Brookes Beale dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 3-3 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carver Saisell was the one to do the kick off. Brookes Beale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dan Will, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Carver Saisell in the 53rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Brookes Beale, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, Nelligen's Andrew Kernick got a free kick in the 59th minute. Archie Trims made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bill Crane in the 60th minute of play. After 62 minutes of play, Hunterton's Payton Thomas made it 4-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Archie Trims was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Hunterton defense, Carver Saisell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brookes Beale. The Hunterton fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brookes Beale should have stopped the shot. Nelligen's Archie Trims played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bill Crane in the 71st minute of play. Archie Trims made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Duffield Crawford in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75th minute Duffield Crawford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Archie Trims saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute Payton Thomas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Archie Trims saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Dan Will came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Nelligen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dan Will couldn't finish the play. In the 88th minute, Payton Thomas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hunterton fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-4. After 91 minutes, Payton Thomas made it 7-4 with a short kick to the right side. Nelligen's Archie Trims tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 94 minutes into the match, Hunterton's goalkeeper Brookes Beale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carver Saisell. Carver Saisell struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Brookes Beale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nelligen. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Hunterton fans cheered their team off the field, for while Nelligen had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
