Peter Howard charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Peter Howard the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Al Allen sped through We Lose All The Matches's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Emerson Leão. Brook Munster hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Norman Wood charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Norman Wood hit a great ball. Bryden Miels struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Emerson Leão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rutgers Utd. Murdock Reisz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arty Thorne went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Antonio Benson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Murdock Reisz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Al Allen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emerson Leão having to interfere. Emerson Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Al Allen in the 43rd minute of play. 48 minutes into the match, Rutgers Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Arty Thorne came free, but Murdock Reisz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bryden Miels to make the kick off. Emerson Leão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bryden Miels, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 61 minutes into the match, We Lose All The Matches's goal looked a bit too open when Bryden Miels came free, but Emerson Leão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
