The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bernard Sugden hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute, Corey Rhoades got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 16th minute, BES MUDI BANDITS's Corey Rhoades ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jaffery Hayward. Jaffery Hayward yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Einar Heiberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jamie Minter in the 24th minute of play. Perth Glory's Jaffery Hayward proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Perth Glory from getting a goal against them. Jaffery Hayward showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Howard Nelson, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After 35 played minutes BES MUDI BANDITS got a freekick which was hit by Corey Rhoades. Edmonds Askew fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaffery Hayward having to interfere. After having played for 45 minutes, Corey Rhoades managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BES MUDI BANDITS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Corey Rhoades was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jamie Minter was the one to do the kick off. Philip Wal kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Howard Nelson in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jaffery Hayward saved Perth Glory from getting behind. Jamie Minter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of BES MUDI BANDITS booed when Perth Glory was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barnabas Clinton didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Edmonds Askew had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 81 minutes into the game, Howard Nelson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Jaffery Hayward was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 84 minutes into the match, Perth Glory's goal looked a bit too open when Neil Weatherby came free, but Jaffery Hayward reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Neil Weatherby hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Perth Glory's Dakota Muggleton got a free kick in the 95th minute. BES MUDI BANDITS's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
