The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Ayla FC's Brayden Duggan got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Corbett Alonso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nilson Fraser read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. With his leg Aden Couzens managed to avoid a goal in the 6thth minute, when Ayla FC's Silvério Pinhal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Rick Souness had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aden Couzens stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Silvério Pinhal's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Aden Couzens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvério Pinhal, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After 12 played minutes Elderslie Magpies got a freekick which was hit by Burns Muller. Silvério Pinhal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aden Couzens having to interfere. In the 24th minute Neal Weatherby shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilson Fraser saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silvério Pinhal in the 26thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Aden Couzens, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 28th match minute, Elderslie Magpies was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Steven Chaptal to maneuver through the defense. 29 minutes into the game, Ayla FC's Ivan Odon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aden Couzens made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. A hard shot 32 in the game by Silvério Pinhal from a close distance when the talented Aden Couzens managed to make a qualified save. Elderslie Magpies's players were relieved. Silvério Pinhal took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aden Couzens. Aden Couzens dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Silvério Pinhal in the 42ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Aden Couzens, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Aden Couzens stood somewhat misplaced when Silvério Pinhal came free in front of goal and shot 4-0 to the left of him in the 43 minute. Aden Couzens was a little too slow when Rob Porteus got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 5-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Steven Chaptal made a kick off. In the 54th match minute, Elderslie Magpies was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateusz Klich to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silvério Pinhal in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aden Couzens saved Elderslie Magpies from getting behind. Aden Couzens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brayden Duggan in the 58th minute of play. Mateusz Klich kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Rick Souness could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Nilson Fraser made a huge save. In the 73rd minute of the match Ayla FC got a corner. Elderslie Magpies's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Larry Knevett ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 76th minute, Elderslie Magpies's Corbett Alonso dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 6-1. Aden Couzens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Larry Knevett in the 80th minute of the match. Aden Couzens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvério Pinhal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute Neal Weatherby shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilson Fraser saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Corbett Alonso hit a great ball. Rick Souness could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Nilson Fraser made a huge save. When Ayla FC's Silvério Pinhal in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Elderslie Magpies's goalie prevented a goal. Silvério Pinhal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aden Couzens having to make a save. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Silvério Pinhal put it in 7-1 from a short distance just to the right of Aden Couzens. Steven Chaptal received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nilson Fraser came out and tried to block the shot, but Steven Chaptal slotted it home off the left post making it 7-2 in the 97th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ayla FC had won after a very even match.
