If Carleton Atkin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 10th minute, Carleton Atkin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edmonds Didlock. The goal made the score 1-0. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Carleton Atkin took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Edmonds Didlock to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Hellscream getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Dalwood Gillingwater hit a great ball. In the 18th minute, Adelaide's Carleton Atkin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Edmonds Didlock. Edmonds Didlock yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Carleton Atkin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute, Hellscream's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Earle Leydin fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 25th match minute, Hellscream was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalwood Gillingwater to maneuver through the defense. Edmonds Didlock stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carleton Atkin's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. 4-0 became the score in the 31st minute when Carleton Atkin elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Carleton Atkin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Edmonds Didlock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edward Schultz hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute Jess Fenwick shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brian Brennand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carleton Atkin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Carleton Atkin sped through Hellscream's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Edmonds Didlock. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Carleton Atkin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Adelaide's supporters rose to their feet, but Carleton Atkin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edmonds Didlock breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carter Ziliotto during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Carter Ziliotto kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Darren Paynter's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edmonds Didlock read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Carleton Atkin made a precise shot to the right of Edmonds Didlock. Hellscream's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. In the 75th minute, Carleton Atkin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Adelaide fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when Adelaide's Edward Schultz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 8-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 81 minutes into the match, Hellscream's goal looked a bit too open when Carleton Atkin came free, but Edmonds Didlock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Adelaide's Brian Brennand got control of the ball when Bray Harkness tried to sneak it across the goal line. 86 minutes into the game, Adelaide's Carleton Atkin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edmonds Didlock made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. Edward Schultz hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Edmonds Didlock came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Adelaide's Carleton Atkin. But to his dismay, Carleton Atkin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 10-0.
