Spectators: 9209 (Terracing: 6909, Seating: 2117, VIP seats: 183) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Angelo Callaghan got the match started through his kick off. Angelo Callaghan scored 1-0 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Davey Curtis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 7 played minutes Pensioners 2.0 got a freekick which was hit by Mack Giddey. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Angelo Callaghan took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Davey Curtis to make any attempt to save it. Petre Dimofte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Quincy Fitzsimmons in the 11th minute of the match. After 13 minutes Thoona's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Berry Pickhills who took care of the corner kick. Pensioners 2.0's Berry Pickhills was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Petre Dimofte in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Angelo Callaghan in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Davey Curtis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Davey Curtis was a little too slow when Angelo Callaghan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 18th minute. The score was now 3-0. 21 minutes into the match, Pensioners 2.0's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Callaghan came free, but Davey Curtis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Thoona's Angelo Callaghan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Davey Curtis. That made the score 4-0 after 22 minutes of play. Davey Curtis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Callaghan in the 25th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Herman Wall put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Davey Curtis. The audience was convinced that Herman Wall's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Davey Curtis was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. In the 40th minute Biddle Beer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Davey Curtis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The wind increased when Quincy Fitzsimmons made the kick off in the second half. Davey Curtis didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Thoona's Angelo Callaghan shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 9-0 in the ordered_time% minute. The Thoona fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when Thoona's Herman Wall looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 10-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Davey Curtis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Angelo Callaghan went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 11-0 was the resulting score. When Thoona's Angelo Callaghan in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pensioners 2.0's goalie prevented a goal. After 68 minutes of play, Thoona's Burns Pegrum made it 12-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Davey Curtis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Davey Curtis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcus Huff's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Davey Curtis came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Thoona's Angelo Callaghan. But to his dismay, Angelo Callaghan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 13-0. Angelo Callaghan struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Davey Curtis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Thoona. Davey Curtis came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Thoona's Angelo Callaghan. But to his dismay, Angelo Callaghan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 14-0. After some careless play in the Pensioners 2.0 defense, Angelo Callaghan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Davey Curtis. The Pensioners 2.0 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Davey Curtis should have stopped the shot. Davey Curtis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Callaghan in the 84th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Angelo Callaghan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Davey Curtis. Pensioners 2.0's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Angelo Callaghan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 16-0. The Thoona fans' excitement grew in the 89th match minute when Thoona's Angelo Callaghan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 17-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Herman Wall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Davey Curtis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Callaghan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
