After some careless play in the Pensioners 2.0 defense, Neal Weatherby kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Davey Curtis. The Pensioners 2.0 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Davey Curtis should have stopped the shot. Davey Curtis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Neal Weatherby, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rick Souness scored 0-3 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Davey Curtis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pensioners 2.0's Davey Curtis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rick Souness in the 17th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Rick Souness had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Davey Curtis. Pensioners 2.0's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rick Souness was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. A collision led to Pensioners 2.0 getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Andrew Norden hit a great ball. Davey Curtis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steven Chaptal in the 24th minute of the match. Neal Weatherby took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Davey Curtis. Davey Curtis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. A collision led to Pensioners 2.0 getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Jack Buckland hit a great ball. A collision led to Pensioners 2.0 getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Antonia Fessey hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Steven Chaptal put it in 0-6 from a short distance just to the right of Davey Curtis. In the 36thth minute of the game Steven Chaptal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pensioners 2.0's Davey Curtis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Elderslie Magpies fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when Elderslie Magpies's Steven Chaptal looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-7 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 42 played minutes, Elderslie Magpies's Corbett Alonso shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Davey Curtis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Elderslie Magpies reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Neal Weatherby managed to get in a good position for a shot. Elderslie Magpies's supporters rose to their feet, but Neal Weatherby was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Davey Curtis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 47th minute, Szczepan Zieba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-7 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Steven Chaptal made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Pensioners 2.0 defense, Rick Souness kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Davey Curtis. The Pensioners 2.0 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Davey Curtis should have stopped the shot. Mateusz Klich took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Davey Curtis. Davey Curtis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-9. 60 minutes into the game, Elderslie Magpies's Ovidio Etxekopar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Davey Curtis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-10. 62 minutes into the match, Pensioners 2.0's goal looked a bit too open when Neal Weatherby came free, but Davey Curtis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Steven Chaptal notched a goal, 0-12, to the right of Pensioners 2.0's Davey Curtis. Davey Curtis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Elderslie Magpies made a substitution. Ryszard Cipa replaced Szczepan Zieba. 73 minutes into the game, Ovidio Etxekopar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Elderslie Magpies's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pensioners 2.0 the free kick. Davey Curtis made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Rick Souness sent off a good shot on target. Pensioners 2.0's defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Corbett Alonso scored to the left of an out of position Davey Curtis, making the score, 0-13. Steven Chaptal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Davey Curtis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 82 minutes into the game, Steven Chaptal recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Davey Curtis. Steven Chaptal showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-14. Quincy Fitzsimmons kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute, Mateusz Klich reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Davey Curtis. The goal made the score 0-15. Davey Curtis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rick Souness in the 95th minute. Elderslie Magpies's Aden Couzens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonia Fessey in the 97th minute of play. Elderslie Magpies's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
