An unexpectedly hard shot by Rob Porteus in the 6th minute of play forced Canobolas's goalkeeper Adolfo Mcvey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ayla FC's Nilson Fraser proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Ayla FC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Canobolas booed when Ayla FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brayden Duggan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Canobolas's goal looked a bit too open when Brayden Duggan came free, but Adolfo Mcvey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adolfo Mcvey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvério Pinhal in the 32nd minute of the match. Adolfo Mcvey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvério Pinhal, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Stepan Krymov hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Stepan Krymov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Nilson Fraser made a huge save. When Case Dillon fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ayla FC's protests and gave Case Dillon a yellow card for diving instead. After the first half Ayla FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Silvério Pinhal to strike the kick off in the second half. Silvério Pinhal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adolfo Mcvey having to make a save. 55 minutes into the match, Canobolas's goalkeeper Adolfo Mcvey had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rob Porteus. In the 56th minute Ayla FC were awarded a corner. Larry Knevett went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Ayla FC's corner Larry Knevett fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Adolfo Mcvey quite easily take care of the ball. Rob Burton's late challenge caught a Ayla FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rob Burton helped the player get up and apologised. Rob Burton hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. 58 minutes into the match, Canobolas's goalkeeper Adolfo Mcvey had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rob Porteus. Adolfo Mcvey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvério Pinhal in the 63rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Rob Porteus could shoot a difficult shot in the 65th minute, which Adolfo Mcvey however easily saved by the left post. In the 66th minute of the match, Silvério Pinhal tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Adolfo Mcvey saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 68 minutes had been played when some careless play by Canobolas's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Larry Knevett was slow to take the kick. During this time Ayla FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Ayla FC's Case Dillon to fire away a dangerous shot which Adolfo Mcvey despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Nilson Fraser made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barnabas Hanslow in the 77th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Canobolas's Iwo Bojanowski got a free kick in the 80th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Ayla FC's Larry Knevett broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Nilson Fraser showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stepan Krymov in the 85th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, Canobolas's goalkeeper Adolfo Mcvey had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Silvério Pinhal. Brayden Duggan was extremely unlucky when he, in the 93rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Ivan Odon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ayla FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ivan Odon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adolfo Mcvey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Canobolas supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ayla FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Ayla FC.
