The Thoona fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Davey Curtis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Callaghan in the 7th minute of play. In the 12th minute of the match Thoona got a corner. Pensioners 2.0's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Biddle Beer ran over to the corner to take the kick. Thoona's Petre Dimofte proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Thoona from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Pensioners 2.0 defense, Angelo Callaghan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Davey Curtis. The Pensioners 2.0 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Davey Curtis should have stopped the shot. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Angelo Callaghan sped through Pensioners 2.0's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Davey Curtis. An unexpectedly hard shot by Biddle Beer in the 20th minute of play forced Pensioners 2.0's goalkeeper Davey Curtis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Quincy Fitzsimmons kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Herman Wall got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Angelo Callaghan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Davey Curtis having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, Angelo Callaghan notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Pensioners 2.0's Davey Curtis. Davey Curtis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Davey Curtis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Callaghan in the 33rd minute of play. Angelo Callaghan scored 0-6 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Davey Curtis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 0-7 when Angelo Callaghan sped through Pensioners 2.0's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Davey Curtis. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Herman Wall in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Davey Curtis saved Pensioners 2.0 from getting behind. If Angelo Callaghan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-7.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Quincy Fitzsimmons to strike the kick off in the second half. Davey Curtis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Callaghan in the 56th minute of the match. Davey Curtis was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Herman Wall capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Herman Wall really showed his touch with that goal: 0-9. After a defensive mix-up in Thoona's zone, Antonia Fessey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petre Dimofte came out of the goal and Antonia Fessey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 65 minutes into the game, Herman Wall recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Davey Curtis. Herman Wall showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-10. The audience thought a goal was coming when Burns Pegrum got free with Davey Curtis in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Davey Curtis was a little too slow when Angelo Callaghan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 70th minute. The score was now 0-11. 74 minutes into the match, Pensioners 2.0's goal looked a bit too open when Herman Wall came free, but Davey Curtis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Angelo Callaghan in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Davey Curtis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Davey Curtis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Callaghan, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. 78 minutes into the match, Angelo Callaghan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Davey Curtis, 0-12. 86 minutes into the game, Thoona's Angelo Callaghan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Davey Curtis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-14. After 90 minutes, Angelo Callaghan made it 0-15 with a short kick to the right side. Pensioners 2.0's Davey Curtis tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Angelo Callaghan in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Davey Curtis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Biddle Beer in the 95th minute of play forced Pensioners 2.0's goalkeeper Davey Curtis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle sounded Thoona left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Pensioners 2.0.
