Through an outstanding action, after 8 minutes, Tom Riddle successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ellis Hoskin struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Lei Wei Lin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Australian Youth Academy. In the 11th minute, Garth Brough made a precise shot to the right of Lei Wei Lin. Abbotsford FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Abbotsford FC's zone, Garth Brough stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lei Wei Lin came out of the goal and Garth Brough tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Garth Brough's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lei Wei Lin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. After 23 played minutes Australian Youth Academy got a freekick which was hit by Elliott Virgin. Tom Riddle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yakut Vecihi in the 24th minute of the match. After 27 played minutes Australian Youth Academy got a freekick which was hit by Boyd Allan. Abbotsford FC's Lei Wei Lin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garth Brough in the 31st minute of play. In the 35th minute Garth Brough shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lei Wei Lin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Abbotsford FC's Haroldo Gregory got a free kick in the 36th minute. Australian Youth Academy's Tom Riddle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yakut Vecihi in the 59th minute of play. Tom Riddle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Perry Ackland, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. If Garth Brough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lei Wei Lin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Garth Brough in the 63rd minute. The audience was convinced that Garth Brough's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lei Wei Lin was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Tom Riddle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yakut Vecihi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
