Manly FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Neville Byrnes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mo Salah to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling John Aldridge in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlisle Schultz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match was over Manly FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cosmic Pigeons throughout the match.
