But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nando Pereira couldn't finish the play. In the 10th match minute, Rodborough was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Piarres to maneuver through the defense. After 11 minutes of play, Titipounamu's Nando Pereira made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hugo Orlando Gatti was left in no man's land by his defense there! Art Hauschildt made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Khairil Lum sent off a good shot on target. In the 16th minute Nando Pereira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Orlando Gatti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 18 minutes Rodborough's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Melchor Sayveon who took care of the corner kick. 20 minutes into the match, Rodborough's goal looked a bit too open when Maximilian Larsson came free, but Hugo Orlando Gatti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hugo Orlando Gatti didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nando Pereira went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Nando Pereira scored 0-3 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hugo Orlando Gatti, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nando Pereira in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hugo Orlando Gatti saved Rodborough from getting behind. Titipounamu's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Melchor Sayveon in the 33rd minute. 35 minutes into the match, Titipounamu's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas-James Joshua came free, but Art Hauschildt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Titipounamu's Vincente Santiago quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Kåre Brolin, made in the 46th minute of the game. After the first half Titipounamu were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nando Pereira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, Titipounamu's Hugo Orlando Gatti threw himself towards the right post 53 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Maximilian Larsson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 54th minute, Maximilian Larsson made a precise shot to the right of Hugo Orlando Gatti. Rodborough's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. A collision led to Rodborough getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Lorimer Beer hit a great ball. In the 59th minute Maximilian Larsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Orlando Gatti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 66 minutes, Maximilian Larsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Titipounamu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximilian Larsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Titipounamu made a substitution. Kirby Palmington replaced Jacobs Soekirno. Shawn Michaels hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. László Kulcsár struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Art Hauschildt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rodborough. Nando Pereira came free with the goalkeeper in the 75th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Hugo Orlando Gatti could save by the left post. Titipounamu's Remington Dobson was substituted for Maximilian Larsson. Melchor Sayveon made a great header on Titipounamu's corner, it was just that Rodborough's Hugo Orlando Gatti managed to reach the ball for a save. Art Hauschildt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kylian Charreton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hugo Orlando Gatti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melchor Sayveon in the 81st minute of the match. The Titipounamu supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Titipounamu would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
