Spectators: 10930 (Terracing: 8199, Seating: 2513, VIP seats: 218) Abbotsford FC's Lei Wei Lin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Randolph Glover in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Randolph Glover made a precise shot to the right of Lei Wei Lin. Abbotsford FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Tom Riddle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denny Commons, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 25 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Yakut Vecihi came free, but Tom Riddle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Haroldo Gregory's late challenge caught a Australian Youth Academy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Haroldo Gregory helped the player get up and apologised. In the 27th match minute, Abbotsford FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haroldo Gregory to maneuver through the defense. After 28 minutes of play, Australian Youth Academy's Randolph Glover made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lei Wei Lin was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 32 minutes, Yakut Vecihi made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Australian Youth Academy's Tom Riddle tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Randolph Glover managed to get in a good position for a shot. Australian Youth Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Randolph Glover was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lei Wei Lin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 43 minutes into the match, Abbotsford FC's goalkeeper Lei Wei Lin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Randolph Glover. With his leg Lei Wei Lin managed to avoid a goal in the 44thth minute, when Australian Youth Academy's Randolph Glover fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 45th minute, Randolph Glover got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yakut Vecihi made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Randolph Glover in the 61st minute of play forced Abbotsford FC's goalkeeper Lei Wei Lin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 62 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Yakut Vecihi came free, but Tom Riddle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 67 minutes, Randolph Glover managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Australian Youth Academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Randolph Glover was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 70th minute Brown Haslett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lei Wei Lin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the game, Yakut Vecihi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tom Riddle. Yakut Vecihi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. In the 78th minute Randolph Glover shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lei Wei Lin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tom Riddle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Perry Ackland in the 80th minute of the match. Pierre Haeberle made a great header on Abbotsford FC's corner, it was just that Australian Youth Academy's Tom Riddle managed to reach the ball for a save. Australian Youth Academy's Tom Riddle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Australian Youth Academy from getting a goal against them. Australian Youth Academy were awarded a corner in the 86th minute after Abbotsford FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Codruț Văleanu took the corner. Australian Youth Academy's Codruț Văleanu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lei Wei Lin in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yakut Vecihi in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tom Riddle prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Su Xing Jie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 95 played minutes Australian Youth Academy got a freekick which was hit by Cesar Cornelius. After 96 played minutes, Abbotsford FC's Pierre Haeberle shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tom Riddle came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Abbotsford FC reached it. The Australian Youth Academy fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Abbotsford FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
