With a little luck, Deportivo Galicia's Ximenez Caneiro got control of the ball when Ben Breton tried to sneak it across the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Deportivo Galicia's goalkeeper Ximenez Caneiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ben Breton. 24 minutes into the match, Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's goal looked a bit too open when Daunte Canzino came free, but Tristan Franquis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute Yves Passot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tristan Franquis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Ben Breton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ximenez Caneiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Yves Passot's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tristan Franquis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play.

Alfonso Velez didn't quite understand what happened when in the 48 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ben Breton was the one to do the kick off. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Ben Breton got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Ben Breton came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Imperio Catatumbo de Lara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ben Breton couldn't finish the play. Ben Breton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ximenez Caneiro having to interfere. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara made a substitution. Senio Opazo replaced Liu Liang Gang. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Galicia's zone, Alberino Salgado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ximenez Caneiro came out of the goal and Alberino Salgado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Deportivo Galicia made a substitution. Juan Fernando Pratto replaced Daniel Kipchirchir Pikin. After having played for 70 minutes, Juan Fernando Pratto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Galicia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juan Fernando Pratto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Anastasios Machlas was substituted for Ben Breton. Deportivo Galicia's Ximenez Caneiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Senio Opazo in the 74th minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Deportivo Galicia's goal looked a bit too open when Senio Opazo came free, but Ximenez Caneiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tristan Franquis made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Juan Fernando Pratto sent off a good shot on target. In the 88th minute, Burt Cawthorne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 93 minutes into the game, Anastasios Machlas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Ximenez Caneiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 96th match minute, Deportivo Galicia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mario Xavier to maneuver through the defense.
