In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind La Scaloneta's goalkeeper Ewan Davin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Augusto Cordario in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ewan Davin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Augusto Cordario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ewan Davin having to interfere. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind La Scaloneta's goalkeeper Ewan Davin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 19 minutes into the game, Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ewan Davin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Ewan Davin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Cordario, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 26 minutes into the match, Velez Sarsfield's goal looked a bit too open when Madjid Pauly came free, but Erwin Huygens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filomeno Montrell was slow to take the kick. During this time Velez Sarsfield's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Velez Sarsfield's Filomeno Montrell to fire away a dangerous shot which Ewan Davin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a rather tough play, Velez Sarsfield's Filomeno Montrell got a free kick in the 43rd minute. 46 minutes into the match, Augusto Cordario had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ewan Davin. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Madjid Pauly made a kick off. When Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 65th match minute, La Scaloneta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pierre Dole to maneuver through the defense. Velez Sarsfield's Ago Tramp quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Igor Brébant, made in the 67th minute of the game. A collision led to La Scaloneta getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Chris Falcon hit a great ball. If Ago Tramp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 72 minutes, Augusto Cordario managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Velez Sarsfield's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augusto Cordario was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Velez Sarsfield's Raul Argoitz was substituted for Marcos Pacifico. After some careless play in the La Scaloneta defense, Augusto Cordario kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ewan Davin. The La Scaloneta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ewan Davin should have stopped the shot. Velez Sarsfield made a substitution. Javier Pinola replaced Filomeno Montrell. 82 minutes into the game, Raul Argoitz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Velez Sarsfield's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Scaloneta the free kick. Ewan Davin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Cordario, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. The throw-in from Igor Brébant in the 93rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Velez Sarsfield's Gaston Ávila. The crowd rose to their feet as Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ewan Davin. That made the score 0-7 after 96 minutes of play. The La Scaloneta fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Velez Sarsfield were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
