In the 16th minute, Casimiro Ugutz made a precise shot to the right of Jarrod Leary. Racing Miami Futbol Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Gualterio Burutzagi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodney Hagen, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romeo Zeigler in the 21st minute of play forced Los Delfines's goalkeeper Gualterio Burutzagi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the game, Los Delfines's Casimiro Ugutz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jarrod Leary made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 26 minutes into the match, Racing Miami Futbol Club's goalkeeper Jarrod Leary had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Casimiro Ugutz. After a defensive mix-up in Racing Miami Futbol Club's zone, Casimiro Ugutz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jarrod Leary came out of the goal and Casimiro Ugutz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Casimiro Ugutz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jarrod Leary made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Casimiro Ugutz in the 34th minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Racing Miami Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Casimiro Ugutz came free, but Jarrod Leary reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute Casimiro Ugutz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarrod Leary saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Los Delfines's Casimiro Ugutz managed to work through Racing Miami Futbol Club's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Casimiro Ugutz dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Casimiro Ugutz to make the kick off. Casimiro Ugutz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Casimiro Ugutz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarrod Leary having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Racing Miami Futbol Club's Grant Grant got a free kick in the 60th minute. Saverio Regis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Jarrod Leary tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Los Delfines's Francisco Ascencio was substituted for Saverio Regis. Los Delfines's Gualterio Burutzagi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trey Echols in the 67th minute of play. 71 minutes had been played when some careless play by Racing Miami Futbol Club's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ciriaco Selmo was slow to take the kick. During this time Los Delfines's players had a chance to rest. After a defensive mix-up in Racing Miami Futbol Club's zone, Pastor Libertad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jarrod Leary came out of the goal and Pastor Libertad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Racing Miami Futbol Club's Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson was substituted for Rodney Hagen. In the 80th minute of the match Los Delfines got a corner. Racing Miami Futbol Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ciriaco Selmo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Gualterio Burutzagi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trey Echols in the 81st minute of play. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Racing Miami Futbol Club's goalkeeper Jarrod Leary, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 86 minutes into the match, Pastor Libertad had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jarrod Leary. Racing Miami Futbol Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pastor Libertad was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After having played for 94 minutes, Pastor Libertad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Delfines's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pastor Libertad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With 97 minutes on the clock, Alexis Hoover commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Ciriaco Selmo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 99th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Racing Miami Futbol Club players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Los Delfines.
