With a couple of smart ball manuevers Harald Ek in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cornelio Cordearo saved Racing Club from getting behind. 14 minutes into the match, Academia 1903's Timoteo Columbo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cornelio Cordearo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Luciano Pirro took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Hélio Mangueira to make any attempt to save it. Hélio Mangueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramiro Lano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute Racing Club were awarded a corner. Albino Millano went to the cornerflag to take it. Albino Millano made a great header on Racing Club's corner, it was just that Academia 1903's Hélio Mangueira managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 26th minute Timoteo Columbo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornelio Cordearo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hélio Mangueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luciano Pirro, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Academia 1903's Timoteo Columbo got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Academia 1903's Hélio Mangueira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Academia 1903 from getting a goal against them. After 32 minutes of play, Academia 1903's Timoteo Columbo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cornelio Cordearo was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Academia 1903 booed when Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albino Millano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 37 minutes, Timoteo Columbo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Academia 1903's supporters crossed their fingers, but Timoteo Columbo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 43 played minutes Academia 1903 got a freekick which was hit by Jacobo Galoer. After a rather tough play, Academia 1903's Jacobo Galoer got a free kick in the 44th minute. 47 minutes into the game, Academia 1903's Timoteo Columbo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cornelio Cordearo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After the first half Academia 1903 were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Efmamjjasond Bronco to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Timoteo Columbo came free, but Cornelio Cordearo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Academia 1903 made a substitution. Nicanor Morenø replaced Timoteo Columbo. Academia 1903 made a substitution. Gérard Magyar replaced Harald Ek. Hélio Mangueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingo Austin in the 69th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nicanor Morenø in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cornelio Cordearo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luciano Pirro in the 80th minute of play forced Academia 1903's goalkeeper Hélio Mangueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute, Academia 1903's Nicanor Morenø ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cornelio Cordearo. Cornelio Cordearo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. Racing Club made a substitution. Lucas Eladio replaced Miroslaw Jajecznica. Racing Club's Epifanio Txomin was substituted for Luciano Pirro. In the 94th minute, Nicanor Morenø left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Academia 1903 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. 97 minutes into the match, Academia 1903's Nicanor Morenø sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cornelio Cordearo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Academia 1903 had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
