RedBull Diósgyőr FC's Attila Mesterházy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ariel Bartoleme in the 3rd minute of play. Attila Mesterházy didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ariel Bartoleme went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Máté Asztalos came free with the goalkeeper in the 13th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Attila Mesterházy could save by the left post. In the 14th minute, Ariel Bartoleme reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Attila Mesterházy. The goal made the score 2-0. After a rather tough play, RedBull Diósgyőr FC's Christian Kilstedt got a free kick in the 16th minute. Caspar Motter's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 17thth minute, Attila Mesterházy skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Sakálok's Máté Asztalos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Attila Mesterházy. That made the score 3-0 after 20 minutes of play. With a little luck, RedBull Diósgyőr FC's Attila Mesterházy got control of the ball when Máté Asztalos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Caspar Motter came free with the goalkeeper in the 31st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Attila Mesterházy could save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by József Varsányi in the 37th minute of play forced RedBull Diósgyőr FC's goalkeeper Attila Mesterházy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Jakab Boross made the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Sakálok got a freekick which was hit by Robert Krall. Béla Hudák made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jakab Boross in the 53rd minute of play. After some careless play in the RedBull Diósgyőr FC defense, Máté Asztalos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Attila Mesterházy. The RedBull Diósgyőr FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Attila Mesterházy should have stopped the shot. Attila Mesterházy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caspar Motter in the 59th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by József Varsányi in the 61st minute of play forced RedBull Diósgyőr FC's goalkeeper Attila Mesterházy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the game, Sakálok's József Varsányi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Attila Mesterházy made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Sakálok's Károly Kutasi was substituted for Robert Krall. Sakálok's Jerome Harrison was substituted for Ariel Bartoleme. József Varsányi took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Attila Mesterházy. Attila Mesterházy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. Sakálok made a substitution. Dániel Polgár replaced Gustavo Henrique. Attila Mesterházy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caspar Motter in the 81st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by József Varsányi in the 82nd minute of play forced RedBull Diósgyőr FC's goalkeeper Attila Mesterházy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Attila Mesterházy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caspar Motter in the 88th minute of the match. RedBull Diósgyőr FC's Christian Kilstedt got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 92 minutes into the game, Caspar Motter cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Attila Mesterházy was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 96 minutes into the match, József Varsányi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Attila Mesterházy. RedBull Diósgyőr FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that József Varsányi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. Sakálok's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
