Szajk LC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Jan-Åke Hedlund scored to the left of an out of position András Horváth, making the score, 1-0. When Jan-Åke Hedlund came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Valencia CF Mindszent fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan-Åke Hedlund couldn't finish the play. Zsolt Nagy kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Szajk LC's goalkeeper András Horváth had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jan-Åke Hedlund. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Åke Hedlund in the 10th minute of play forced Szajk LC's goalkeeper András Horváth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Árpád Konkoly in the 11th minute of play forced Valencia CF Mindszent's goalkeeper Daniel Banaszak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gáspár Rigó hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Jan-Åke Hedlund blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without András Horváth having to make a save. In the 15th minute of the match, Jan-Åke Hedlund got a very nice opportunity to score, but András Horváth was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a little luck, Szajk LC's András Horváth got control of the ball when Jan-Åke Hedlund tried to sneak it across the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Andri Shevchenko got away a dangerous shot. Despite this András Horváth quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 21 played minutes Szajk LC got a freekick which was hit by Tibor Bósa. Severo Ulizes got a throw-in 26 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Tibor Bósa. After a rather tough play, Szajk LC's Csongor Csorba got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 34th minute Jan-Åke Hedlund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but András Horváth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Banaszak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Csongor Csorba in the 35th minute of play. Marcell Kiss fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without András Horváth having to interfere. The throw-in from Trenton Alexander-Arnold in the 42nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Valencia CF Mindszent's Christos Xenidis. The supporters of Szajk LC booed when Valencia CF Mindszent was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lázár Lévay didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Csongor Csorba in the 45th minute of play forced Valencia CF Mindszent's goalkeeper Daniel Banaszak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 47 played minutes Valencia CF Mindszent got a freekick which was hit by Christos Xenidis. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Csongor Csorba stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Szajk LC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zsolt Nagy to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Jan-Åke Hedlund's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but András Horváth was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. In the 55th match minute, Szajk LC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zsolt Nagy to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 56 minutes, Jan-Åke Hedlund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valencia CF Mindszent's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jan-Åke Hedlund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. András Horváth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan-Åke Hedlund in the 58th minute of the match. In the 60th minute Jan-Åke Hedlund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but András Horváth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Szajk LC's zone, Jan-Åke Hedlund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. András Horváth came out of the goal and Jan-Åke Hedlund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valencia CF Mindszent made a substitution. Dan Beard replaced Silvestre Pacorro. Szajk LC's Levente Makkai was substituted for Csongor Csorba. Valencia CF Mindszent's Levente Lendvay was substituted for Marcell Kiss. Daniel Banaszak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Levente Makkai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. András Horváth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Åke Hedlund in the 71st minute of play. Daniel Banaszak made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Levente Makkai sent off a good shot on target. After 76 played minutes Szajk LC got a freekick which was hit by Severo Ulizes. Severo Ulizes kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Bob Sinclair blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without András Horváth having to make a save. András Horváth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bob Sinclair in the 80th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bob Sinclair in the 82nd minute of play forced Szajk LC's goalkeeper András Horváth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Valencia CF Mindszent defense, Levente Makkai kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Daniel Banaszak. The Valencia CF Mindszent fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Daniel Banaszak should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bob Sinclair in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck András Horváth prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bob Sinclair recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
