The Red Devils's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jan-Åke Hedlund was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Jan-Åke Hedlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Valencia CF Mindszent booed when The Red Devils was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ádám Kásás made in the 28th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Tamás Dávid however managed to control. After 30 minutes of play, Valencia CF Mindszent's Jan-Åke Hedlund made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. László Boross was left in no man's land by his defense there! 37 minutes into the match, Jan-Åke Hedlund notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of The Red Devils's László Boross. László Boross was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 39th minute Jan-Åke Hedlund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but László Boross saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 41 minutes The Red Devils's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Andri Shevchenko who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Valencia CF Mindszent's Andri Shevchenko to fire away a dangerous shot which László Boross despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 43rd minute, Norbert Kálmán hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jan-Åke Hedlund in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck László Boross prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
Daniel Banaszak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marek Orling in the 51st minute of the match. After 52 played minutes The Red Devils got a freekick which was hit by Mustafa Orhan İlkcan. With a little luck, The Red Devils's László Boross got control of the ball when Jan-Åke Hedlund tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jan-Åke Hedlund received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. László Boross came out and tried to block the shot, but Jan-Åke Hedlund slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 56th minute. The Red Devils made a substitution. János Pálfi replaced Perivaldo Aparecido. Jan-Åke Hedlund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Valencia CF Mindszent made a substitution. Dan Beard replaced Silvestre Pacorro. János Pálfi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Daniel Banaszak having to make a save. 67 minutes into the match, Jan-Åke Hedlund notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of The Red Devils's László Boross. László Boross was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 74th minute, Valencia CF Mindszent's Bob Sinclair dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7. 79 minutes into the match, Valencia CF Mindszent's Bob Sinclair sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that László Boross narrowly saved just below the crossbar. László Boross breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 87 minutes into the game, Ádám Kásás threw the ball into play from the sideline. Valencia CF Mindszent's Andri Shevchenko quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Bob Sinclair recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Bob Sinclair put it in 0-8 from a short distance just to the right of László Boross. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Valencia CF Mindszent eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
